At TennHealth Healthcare Training Center, we believe that education is the key to unlocking one's potential. The TennhealthEDU Exam is an online proctored exam that consists of 100 questions which cover a wide range of topics from order of draw to clinical competency, along with OSHA and HIPAA regulations. Candidates will have two hours to complete the exam. Upon successful registration, candidates will be granted immediate access to the online exam as well as any accompanying study resources available.
Those who successfully pass the exam with an 80% or higher will receive their certification with an affixed seal along with a hand sewn patch to wear on their lab coat. Candidates can expect to review their certifications within 7-10 business days after they pass the exam. Each candidates certification will be recorded on our website to be verifiable by employers.
In order to register for the TennhealthEDU exam, Candidates must have at least 65 live blood draws within a two year period, or at a minimum 30 blood draws and be a recent graduate of a phlebotomy program in the past 6 months. Candidates must also read and agree to the TennhealthEDU code of ethics and Scope of practice.

In order to maintain your TennhealthEDU certification, the Phlebotomist must document a minimum of 20 hours of work experience. Additionally, you must also take the renewal exam every two years to maintain certification.
